Hi there! My name is Emma Spaulding and I recently joined the Sol Paddle Board team for the next few months. I am a senior at Telluride High School, who is currently swamped with the college application process, and eventually hoping to study business. I am enrolled in the Mentorship program at school and I am fortunate enough to mentor with the eccentric, fun-loving, laid-back team of Sol Paddle Boards.
In my 17 years I have been alive, I have been lucky enough to live in Telluride–what could be better? I have grown up on rivers, lakes, mountains, beaches, boats, rafts, bikes, skis, paddle boards while constantly adventuring with my family and friends in ways city-folk would find unimaginable. Now, here I am, figuring out how to make adventuring, a job.
I am very involved in the Telluride School Community and Telluride community as well. I am a member of the Telluride High School Girls Soccer Team who qualified for quarterfinals this past season, Peer Education Club, Spanish National Honors Society, Philanthropy Club, President of Breast Cancer Awareness Club, and secretary of High School Student Council. Since freshman year I haved worked at Two Skirts year round, and now I am able to begin another unique adventure with Sol Paddle Boards.
I cannot wait to see what this semester of mentoring with Sol Paddle Board brings–but I am sure it will be full of amazing adventures, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, learning marketing and business techniques through hands-on learning!
